TRAIL of TEARS 1831-1832 EAGLE COAT BUTTONS. Dug Along the March. -( INDIAN REMOVAL ACT ).▪️I dug these buttons from near the prison pen area where the Creeks were confined along the route of the Creek-Cherokee Indian removal act known as the Trail of Tears and I followed the route as best I could from the origin point in SE Alabama to the Tennessee River. These native Americans were herded along under heavy military guards
🔺These buttons are from two different makers. One is marked SCOVILLS, one is marked by stars and dots.
▪️The Eagles on the fronts are totally different and the sizes are different. See photo for true MM SIZES. .
Great display buttons with good backmarks and good shanks.
▪️Guaranteed 100% authenticity and from where stated. I always kept good records of my finds, relics were bagged & tagged as to what-when-where found. Provenance guaranteed from person who dug this.
Wife & I are retired now and downsizing, she says my 50+ years of digging and collecting war relics must go, so I guess its time to let someone else enjoy them now.
