Tin Canister Canteen, 19th Century Original

Description

Very nicely made original canteen in excellent overall condition. This one measures about 112 X 6.5 X 3.5 inches so would hold a good quantity of water. There are two square brackets on the shoulder which retain an old leather strap fastened by rivets. This may have had a shoulder strap originally.
There are no markings anywhere. The cork in the top is quite old. No rust, holes, dents or damage. Beautiful condition and a great display piece.
