Up for auction:
another pressed lanthorn powder flask of French manufacture.
Datewise it has been made around the 1830`s - 1840`s.
Both sides of pressed lanthorn are connected with a brass strip.
The decoration appears on both sides.
The decoration is a "overall" type with
**** STARS ****
And a geometrical design around it.
Riling`s Powder Flask book shows a very similar flask in copper (made by B.A. Paris).
All 4 suspension rings are present.
The charger is complete and has a 3-step unmarked scale.
Length incuded nozzle is 195 mm (7.68 Inches) the widest part measures 95 mm (3.75 Inches).
Condition: horn body has some minor age cracks (no holes) and the star decoration is crisp.
Charger is complete and in working order.
Another unusual French lanthorn powder flask!
