Pre Civil War 1-Piece Maine Militia 6-Point Star Coat Button ME 4D in Albert's

Early pre Civil War, 1-piece copper, gilted Maine militia 6-point star coat button. It is ME 4D. in Albert's button book. The front has a giant centered 6-point star on a recessed plain field. The reverse has a recessed channel with a ring of raised 6-point stars backmark. The shank is straight but a bit pushed down. This button
measures 22 mm in diameter and shows some use wear.
This is a rare Maine militia button.
You don't find it often. The pictures are accurate as to its condition.
