    Up for auction:
    this mainspring vise for the U.S. muskets model 1855 - 1888.
    Has a offset bar and is stamped US on the upper side of the body.
    Condition is near mint with 98% original blued finish.
    This vise is is on page 246 of the Gun Tools Identification book (in the middle).
    See my other mainspring vise which is Belgian for the M1841 rifle.
    Shipping times are much longer than eBay estimates.
