    Description: Original 1843 French Naval cutlass sword with anchor inscribed on each side of the blade and name and date inscribed on back edge of blade. Iron handle and guard. Original leather sheath with brass sections. Brass tip present but separated from sheath. Blade measures 28 1/2" long or 74.93 cm. Blade looks like never sharpened. Back of blade has the writing and date. Some light surface discoloration in spots and has not been cleaned or polished and will leave that to the new owner.  Weighs 2 pounds and 13 ounces so please allow 4 pounds shipping weight.
