    Here is a nice 18th century naval bosun's wooden tool for keeping sailors in good order in good original condition. The solid hardwood surface has a nice patina with little wear from age which can be seen in the photos. These tools were used for keeping sailors in line and self defence. Originally from Leith docks, Edinburgh Scotland from a maritime naval collection. In total measuring 11.6 inches long and the solid head measures 2.4 inches wide.
