A very impressive Piso Podang saber of the Borneo or Sumatra warriors of Indonesia. Housed in a huge fine wood scabbard almost entirely dressed in heavy solid silver mounts with fine quality carved floral decorations. Solid brass hilt showing wear to its silver coated finish and is of traditional form, adorned with a large faceted Agate stone to the pommel. Mounted with a lightly curved robust and very combat-worthy blade of layered Damascus steel, exhibiting nice gray patina and showing active Damascus patterns throughout. Solid and intact overall on this rare and very attractive Asian warrior's weapon.
