Description:
This is an original German Mauser M1871/M1888 11mm/8mm Bayonet Sword.
Condition:
The bayonet is in good serviceable condition, however there are light dings, rust and pitting on the pommel, spine and guard. Latch is fully functional - but stiff. Grips are made of metal and have some minor dings/pitting and scratches on them. Blade is in poor shape with a lot of rust and pitting. Tip comes to a bent point. Most of the finish has worn off on it and there are nicks on the blade. There are scratches and rust throughout. There is no verdigris, nor scabbard. As with all used parts, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards. Please see our photographs for a better understanding of the contents and its condition.
