    Description

    French Model 1771 Infantry Musket Socket Bayonet.
    Has an illegible mark on the blade shoulder, one illegible mark on the neck, and another forward of the mortise
    . It has an overall darkened patina, some pitting with some minor surface rust, light nicks mainly on the lower half towards the tip, and it is
    missing the locking ring. "I" mortise. Length of the blade measures 14" (1 1/8" wide x 3/8" thick) and the bayonet is 17 3/8". The socket is 2 11/16". The muzzle hole is 27/32".
