Eagle Head Militia Officers Sword Saber w/Leather Scabbard - Etched

Description

Eagle Head Militia Officers Sword with Leather Scabbard.
The ricasso is unmarked, no markings anywhere. The grip and pommel are tight, the guard is loose. The wood grip has a couple small chips/crackle lines.
The faintly blued etched blade
is straight, feels sharpened but doesn't look it, several nicks, and
it has age spots scattered throughout.
The leather scabbard is stiff but solid, has light crazing, the stitching appears mostly tight, some spots of surface loss, the mounts have been glued in place at some point, the drag is missing, there is a break in the leather about a 1/2" above the middle hanger mount and if you fit the two pieces together correctly the throat piece comes up a 1 3/4" shy of going on all the way, typical leather shrinkage

asher is missing. Length of the blade is 32 7/8" (1 1/4" wide and 17/32" thick), and the sword is 34 5/8".
