Brown Bess Socket Bayonet w/Leather Scabbard

Description

Brown Bess Socket Bayonet with Leather Scabbard. There are no markings on either piece. It is solid, several edge nicks, has pitting with surface rust throughout, has a slight curve to the entire blade, and the 1 1/2" of the tip has a slight bend. The scabbard is solid, no weak spots, the stitching is tight, a few small surface leather loss spots, the drag area has some surface creases and is bent. The leather belt loop is complete, the rivets are tight, and there is some crazing. Length of the blade measures 15 1/16" (1 1/8" wide x 1/2" thick), the bayonet is 19 5/8", and in the scabbard it is 22 1/4". The socket is 3 1/2". The muzzle hole is 7/8".
