ORIGINAL BROWN BESS GUN FLINTS & MUSKET BALL.
Here are some interesting items. These are original Brown Bess musket flints and a ball that were made to regulation pattern in Brandon, County of Suffolk, England in the late 1700s and early 1800s as England was preparing for invasion by
Napoleon
. They were later stored in the Royal Armory of Nepal under British control where they lay forgotten for almost 200 years. (For more on these fascinating artifacts, I would recommend the book "

There were 3 types of flints knapped at the time, British Black, English Grey and French Amber. This lot consists of 2 flints and 1 musket ball that is around .70 caliber. Keep in mind these are

, so the flints you receive will vary somewhat in size and color, but they will be similar to what you see here. The musket balls don't vary much, so what you see is what you will get. These are wonderful for collections and displays and most of them could still be mounted in a flintlock and used as intended. These are great collectible artifacts.
